RRELC provides a play‑based learning environment strengthened by innovative teaching strategies that build a strong foundation for young learners. We focus on nurturing the whole child—honoring each child’s individuality while supporting their unique learning goals. Our approach is grounded in the belief that children learn best through creative experiences that foster curiosity and inspire exploration and growth.
Curriculum Approach
RRELC balances a traditional play-based environment with innovative teaching strategies to meet Virginia Quality Birth to Five (VQB5) standards.
Our View on Assessments
Assessments hold instructors, parents and students accountable and give us the opportunity to adjust instruction to the learner. This includes daily evaluations by lead teachers and regular parent-teacher conferences to keep you informed about your child’s progress.

Phonological Awareness Literacy Screen
A state test for Pre-K to 3rd grade assesses reading skills, highlights strengths and weaknesses, and aids teachers in supporting each child's reading development. -
A fun, hands-on curriculum that uses multi-sensory materials to introduce shapes, numbers, and letters, helping children get school ready.
