Core Responsibilities
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans.
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the daycare.
Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children.
Monitor and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's activities and behavior.
Desired Attributes, Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; however, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is highly preferred.
Certification: Current CPR and First Aid certification are typically required. Additional certifications such as Safe Child Care training or specialized early childhood education credentials can be advantageous.
Experience: Previous experience working with young children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar environments is essential. Experience may include internships, volunteer work, or paid employment.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities. Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude are critical qualities.
